Richard Branson was a hero of mine. We have a few things in common. He is an entrepreneur. He has a home in the Caribbean. He is the same age as me (58 as I write this). He is concerned about the environment and he is a Star Trek fan. He loves technology.
Today, I am [...]

So, I’ve received some feedback about my recent posts; some of which is from folks who are used to me writing about personal empowerment and the creation of success, who wonder why I seem to have gotten more ‘political’ in my recent posts. I am not more political than I was before. I’ve just decided [...]

This all started with a humorous post I made a long time ago about putting beer on cornflakes in the morning instead of milk. For some reason that offended some folks.
I was then forced to defend my position by proving that beer is healthier than milk and ended up discovering through my research than not [...]

I’ve gotten some feedback on my blog posts and it pleases me. In addition to writing to inform and enlighten, I also write to encourage conversation and debate.
In response to my post on beer and milk, I received a few emails from people arguing that milk is good for you.
Well, I disagree. Milk is making [...]

Time to celebrate. Gone are Karl Rove’s lies. Gone is Cheney’s snarl. Gone is the worst president the USA ever had. Gone is eight years of bully politics.
Now we have a big sigh of relief, a shining ray of hope, a smile and plenty of charm.
So, why am I titling this post “good cop/bad cop”?
Ok, [...]

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he’ll spend the rest of his life in a boat drinking beer.”
My friend, Gus, wants to do some night fishing… take the boat out, fish til we get tired, sleep, then wake up early and fish again until [...]

I ran across the video below on youtube and it inspired me to reprint here an article I wrote 6 years ago called The Precipice.
Think the global economic crisis is bad news? Wait until you see what else is in store for you UNLESS you become the solution.

Where were you when… ?
Today is one of those moments. Whether you are an Obama fan or not, you have to admit that this is one of those defining times.
I was in Hong Kong when the changeover took place and the energy was palpable.
I imagine that those folks in Washington today have that same feeling [...]
